Sachini and Matthew held their wedding at the iconic Grosvenor House in London's Mayfair—a magnificent setting for a truly luxurious celebration
This was my very first time photographing a Sri Lankan wedding, and the incredible blend of vibrant color, rich tradition, and elegance exceeded every expectation. While sharing some similarities with traditional Indian weddings, the unique Sri Lankan customs made the ceremony an absolute joy to capture. It was fascinating to learn about these new traditions firsthand and document every intricate detail throughout the service.
The energy carried straight into the evening reception. Sachini and Matthew made a grand entrance to thunderous cheers and applause from their guests—a high-energy moment that set the tone for the rest of the night. Their first dance was equally memorable, set in a breathtakingly designed ballroom with a live jazz band creating the perfect atmosphere.
It was an honor to document such a stunning day. I wish Sachini and Matthew a lifetime of happiness together!
