Secret Candlelit Beach Proposal in Barcelona
A Romantic Wedding Proposal on a Boat in Barcelona.
Enisa and Taner had a secret wedding proposal on a beach just outside Barcelona, and it was such a beautiful evening to photograph.
We planned the proposal for around sunset, so there would still be enough natural light to see the heart of candles while also creating that beautiful evening atmosphere.
As the proposal got closer, Taner texted me a couple of hours beforehand to ask whether he should blindfold Enisa. His apartment wasn’t far from the beach where we were going to do the proposal, so I told him that if she was comfortable with being blindfolded, then go for it!
It made for such amazing photographs. Taner gently guided her towards the beach while she had no idea what was waiting for her. When she finally realised what was happening, it was such an incredible moment to photograph. They were both incredibly emotional, especially when Enisa said yes.
Before the photo shoot, I had decided to use a flash beside the couple, and I’m so glad I did. The flash helped the two of them really stand out against the darker background while still keeping the atmosphere of the beach and evening light.
I always love seeing where photography can take you and having the opportunity to be creative, even with something as special and intimate as a secret engagement photo shoot.
